Privacy Policy

Last updated: 14.09.2026

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data, in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR), Romanian Law no. 190/2018 implementing GDPR, and Romanian Law no. 506/2004 on the processing of personal data and protection of privacy in the electronic communications sector.

1. Identity of the Data Controller

This website is operated by a private individual, not a registered company. The data controller is:

ℹ️ Note: clearly identifying the controller is required under Articles 13-14 GDPR, regardless of whether the activity is carried out as an individual or through a company. Do not fill in a tax/business registration number if you don’t have one for this activity — an individual without a registered legal form is still a valid data controller under GDPR.

2. Definitions

  • Personal data — any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person.
  • Processing — any operation performed on personal data (collection, storage, use, deletion, etc.).
  • Data subject — the natural person whose personal data is processed.
  • Controller — the entity that determines the purposes and means of processing.
  • Processor — the entity that processes data on behalf of the controller.

3. Data Protection Principles

We are committed to respecting the following principles:

  • Lawfulness, fairness, and transparency.
  • Purpose limitation — data is collected only for specific, legitimate purposes.
  • Data minimization — we only collect what is strictly necessary.
  • Accuracy — data is kept up to date.
  • Storage limitation — data is kept only as long as necessary (see Section 8).
  • Integrity and confidentiality, ensured through technical and organizational measures.
  • Accountability — we can demonstrate compliance at any time.

4. Legal Grounds for Processing

We process your data based on the following legal grounds under Article 6(1) GDPR:

  • Consent (point a) — for newsletters, marketing, and non-essential cookies.
  • Performance of a contract (point b) — for services you request directly.
  • Legal obligation (point c) — for compliance with tax and accounting obligations.
  • Legitimate interest (point f) — for platform security and aggregated statistical analysis.

5. What Data We Collect

  • Data you provide directly: name, surname, e-mail, phone number, information submitted through forms or comments.
  • Data collected automatically: IP address, cookies, browsing history, analytics data.
  • Data from public sources: information available from public sources, where relevant.

6. How We Use Your Data

Your personal data may be used to:

  • communicate and interact with users;
  • administer and secure the platform;
  • send newsletters and marketing offers (only with your prior, explicit consent);
  • comply with legal and tax obligations.

7. Data Retention Period

We do not keep data longer than necessary for the purpose it was collected for:

  • Contact form data: kept for 12 months from the last contact, then deleted or anonymized.
  • Newsletter subscription data: kept until you unsubscribe.
  • Data collected through analytics cookies: kept according to the retention period of the tool used (see Section 10).
  • Tax records (if the activity generates taxable income, for example from collaborations or affiliate revenue): kept according to the legal deadlines set by Romanian tax law applicable to individuals.
  • Data required for an ongoing legal procedure: kept for the duration of the procedure.

⚠️ Note: a single fixed “maximum 5 years” period for all data is not legally accurate. GDPR does not set a fixed term; the storage limitation principle requires each category of data to be kept only as long as necessary for its specific purpose.

8. Data Recipients and International Transfers

We do not sell or rent your personal data to third parties.

Data may be disclosed to public authorities only when required by law.

We use service providers (hosting, e-mail, traffic analysis) who act as processors, under appropriate data protection safeguards.

Some of these providers (for example Google Analytics, Google Ads, Meta/Facebook Pixel) may transfer data to the United States. These transfers rely, as applicable, on:

  • the European Commission’s adequacy decision for the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, for providers certified under this mechanism; or
  • Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission, for providers not certified under the Framework.

ℹ️ Technical note: the EU-US Data Privacy Framework is valid at the time this policy is published, but is subject to ongoing legal challenges at EU level. This section will be updated if the transfer mechanism changes following a ruling by the Court of Justice of the European Union.

9. Rights of Data Subjects

Under GDPR, you have the following rights:

  • Right to information (Articles 13-14 GDPR)
  • Right of access (Article 15 GDPR)
  • Right to rectification (Article 16 GDPR)
  • Right to erasure — “right to be forgotten” (Article 17 GDPR)

Any other use (full reproduction, modification, distribution, or commercial use) without our prior written consent is strictly prohibited and may result in civil or criminal liability.

We reserve the right to request the removal of any copied content that does not comply with these conditions.
