DiagnozaBAM: Car Diagnostics, IT Repair and Technical Guides from Roman, Romania
Cars are getting smarter. Computers are harder to keep alive without help. You need someone who understands both and tells you straight what is going on.
DiagnozaBAM is a Romanian project based in Roman, Neamț County. It combines three things: professional car diagnostics, PC and console repair, and a technical blog with practical guides. All of it starts from the same idea. You find the real cause before you spend money on parts.
About the Project
DiagnozaBAM is not a classic workshop. It is a source of diagnostics, repairs, advice and technical education.
The project grew out of a real passion for car diagnostics and IT. The experience comes from hands-on work on cars and computers. It does not come from copied theory.
We speak to several kinds of people:
- drivers who have a dashboard fault and don’t know what it means
- mobile mechanics and roadside responders who need fast methods
- enthusiasts who maintain their own cars
- users whose laptops are slow, overheating or won’t boot

Professional Car Diagnostics
Do you have a dashboard fault? A warning light with no explanation? An electronic problem that seems impossible to explain? This is where diagnosis starts.
Diagnostics can also be done on site, by travelling to you, for urgent jobs. The car doesn’t necessarily have to reach a workshop.
Equipment and Software
We work with professional equipment, chosen according to the make of the car:
- Op-Com: interface and software for diagnosing Opel cars.
- AutoCom: multi-brand diagnostics, covering a large number of models.
- PyRen: software for diagnostics and interventions on Renault and Dacia cars.
- DDT4ALL: access to the parameters of Renault and Dacia control units.
- THINKCAR THINKSCAN 689BT: a bidirectional scan tool for on-site interventions. It reads and clears fault codes, shows live data and allows active tests, depending on the car.
Each tool covers a different segment. Op-Com, PyRen and DDT4ALL go deep on one make or one family of makes. The bidirectional scanner helps you run a quick first diagnosis in the field. Coverage depends on the model and the car’s control unit, so we check compatibility before any intervention.
We pick the tool for the car, not the other way around.
Makes We Cover
Services are offered for the makes that are popular in Romania: Opel, Renault, VW, Skoda, Audi, Seat, Ford and others. If your make is not on the list, ask first. Coverage depends on the model and the car’s control unit.
Services
Checking and clearing ECU / UCH / BCM faults. We read faults from the engine control unit, the passenger compartment control unit and the body control module. We write them down before we clear them. Clearing alone does not fix the cause.
Enabling and disabling hidden features. Many cars have features switched off at the factory. You can enable them where the control unit and configuration allow it.
Service interval reset. We reset the service indicator after a service or an oil change.
Forced DPF regeneration. If the particulate filter does not regenerate on its own, we command a forced regeneration. We do this only after we check why the filter clogged.
Glow plug diagnostics. We read the state of the glow plugs on diesel engines. That way you learn which glow plug is faulty, without pulling all of them.
Key programming and PIN codes. We program new keys and read PIN codes, based on the car’s documents.
Crash data reset for engine start. After a collision, the injection control unit can stay locked. The module is unlocked by software. Cases with deployed airbags need more care.
All operations follow verified procedures and rely on a correct diagnosis. We don’t promise the same result on every car. We promise that we don’t guess.
PC and Console Repair
Is your laptop overheating? Running slowly? Won’t turn on? Here is what we fix:
- Cleaning and replacing thermal paste. It solves overheating and fan noise.
- SSD upgrade and HDD cloning. An SSD changes the speed of an old laptop dramatically. Cloning keeps your system and your files.
- Reinstalling Windows, drivers, Office and antivirus. You get a clean, working system.
- Hardware and software repairs. We diagnose the fault before we propose a fix.
- Xbox 360 services. Older-generation consoles that are still worth keeping.
- Support for second-hand IT equipment. We check what you are buying before you pay.
Everything is tested before handover. The work comes with a warranty.
